A multi-disciplinary Photographer and Miami Ad School graduate, Ellis Howard Wallace connects with his subjects on a spiritual and emotional level. After spending many years designing and photographing the world of The Atlanta Opera, Ellis is now solely concentrating on his life long passion - photography. Ellis has worked and learned from many great photographers such as National Geographic Traveler Magazine photographer Catherine Karnow, and Robert Miller of the Robert Miller Gallery, NYC. His work has been shown alongside Robert Mapplethorpe, Patti Smith, and Bruce Weber
After spending 5 years in NYC performing off broadway - Ellis moved to Miami FL. where his life in photography began. Always a keen observer of people and life around him, he started to shoot. After dropping off his first roll of professional film to the lab, the owner asked if they could print and frame one of the photos in the lab. He's never looked back.
Ellis's artistic vison has changed over time. After spending many years photographing models for agencies such as Ford and Elite, he met and starting working with Robert Miller of The Robert Miller Gallery NYC. His eyes were soon open to a new world. "Bob taught me so much... we would study everyday...study the great photographs he had collected over time... photographing him while he produced his amazing huge art paintings... meeting other artists... best time of my life."
